Yet Another Reason To Love Food!

Updated: Nov 1, 2018

Thanks to Neighbor restaurant in Venice in Los Angeles, for the wonderful food they prepared for us at our "Better Together" luncheon.

What makes food and the people who enjoy it so great?

Good tasting food is loved by just about everyone I know. Food is not simply stuff that people eat when they're hungry. Food is awesome, delicious, inventive, colorful, inspiring, and so much more. A mutual love of food can bring different people together and can make the saddest person feel better without even meaning to. I love food and think you should too ;)

So, here are a few reasons why I love food SO much and a new one you may not have thought of...

1.) Food brings people togther! You and your friends may work at completely different jobs or simply sit at the opposite ends of the office, but eating lunch brings all sorts people together. Not to mention, if the kids are at school, the parents are at work, the only time you might all be in the same room during any given day is at breakfast or dinner! The sharing of food together is a very important way to keep connected with loved ones and get away from deadlines, to-do lists and other responsibilities that contribute to today's stressful lifestyles.

2.) Social Meeting is way better than Social Media: Ok, you can post a picture of your delicious food on social media... if you must, but don't miss out on the real deal! How many times have you texted a friend and said 'hey wanna get dinner' or 'rise and shine we're getting brunch'. Even though you might not realize it, tons of social events are centered around food: birthdays or holiday dinners, city trips, lunch dates, cocktail parties, and even happy hours! The minute someone says 'there will be food' so many more people are apt to show up to the event or social gathering. People bond over food they enjoy and there are many different communities, like the vegan community, that have been formed all based on similar diets. Food makes everything more fun and it's a great way to get friends together and to connect with others! Let's face it FOOD makes Any Party Better!

3.) It makes your taste buds wanna have a dance-party! Despite all of the other great things food literally brings to the table, people eat food because of the way it tastes. Whether it's the sweetness of the caramelized onions or the aromatic spices, coconut and basil in a delicious Thai curry, enjoying good tasting food is what a food lover's life is all about.

4.) It makes you feel good and nourishes your body! Although I'm not one to turn down a slice of delicious pizza, there's no denying that healthy eating makes you feel good -INSIDE and OUT. When you eat healthy foods that are local or organic you have more energy, you look more alive, and it all makes you feel amazing! And dare I say, more confident. Healthy foods like nuts, sprouted grains  fruits and vegetables, as well as good fats like coconut oil, hemp seed oil and avocados, and CBD oil can really make you feel good! I call it fueling your life force!

5.) So Experiment with some Full Spectrum Hemp Oil! Yes, it's the latest food trend adding cannabidiol (CBD) to your dishes. Get a good tasting tincture and you can try adding half a dropper of tincture to your dips like hummus, or mix it with your salad dressing, or like we do, add it to your drinks! We make a delicious "Mojito Mocktail" out of Organic limes, organic mint and a home-made syrup made from organic sugar and sparkling mineral water. We top it off with half a dropper of full spectrum CBD tincture. It is delicious and because it looks just like a cocktail and gives you a feeling of wellbeing - I think it's better than a cocktail, because there NO HANGOVER!

In fact, I read recently that CBD actually protects the liver! So yes, a lifestyle full of healthy food and healthy drinks, can truly change someone's life in a big way.

Food Appreciation!

Food is much more than what it seems to be on the surface. It is powerful and makes differences in people's everyday lives. After all Hippocrates said - "Let Food Be Thy Medicine". So I hope you have a greater appreciation for food and think about adding some organic Full Spectrum CBD to your recipes the next time you invite people over for a dinner party!

P.S. My guest LOVE my CBD mocktails. Great taste, great fun and zero hangover!
